A New Year

Many years prior, a seed began to dream. And in this dream, it felt itself begin to shift and transform. It felt something collapse, it felt something stretch out and reach. It noted the new and wonderous sensations it began to become aware of, and with each and every moment the sensations built upon one another until suddenly there came a great light.  When the seed moved to shrink away it found it could not, and its body grew taller, firmer, stronger…until one day the seed noticed it was no longer a seed at all, but a large and magnificent tree.

It danced in the wind of the thunderstorms and whispered in the light of the moon. It sang with the birds in the dawn, and laughed with the children during the sunsets. And then, from within, there arose such a feeling of wonder and joy…for the tree knew that now was its time to release its seed unto the world. So, with a joyous voice and open heart, it let go of the small and tender pieces it had formed so carefully throughout its days and nights…kissing each one and wishing them well.

And as the seeds drifted away, they soon found their places. One by one they settled, and were embraced deep into the earth. Then, one by one, they began to dream.

As our planet begins yet another journey around our sun, the Gardens Of Our Imagination welcome new seeds.
