Seeds Which Do Not Grow

What do we do with seeds which do not grow?

Is it their purpose to slumber in the darkness and wither away into nothing?

What do we do with seeds which do not grow?

Is it their purpose to wait, and bide their time and spring into life when we least expect it?

Are they as excited to reach out into the world as we are for them to?

Perhaps the better question is:

How can we encourage seeds to grow? And is encouragement to grow a necessity?

Is it better for us to listen, to wait, to observe, to ask? Should we open ourselves, our minds, and our hearts so that we are better able to understand the needs and the purposes of our seeds? Should we remain silent, so that we may hear their voices?

How do we measure growth, and against whose concept of time?

Do we only value our seeds because of the fruit they bear, or is it the potential for hope that they bear within their very essence and existence which moves us so?

What do we do with seeds that do not grow?

What seeds rest within you, and with whose voice do they speak when they address the world? With whose eyes do they survey that which surrounds them, and with whose ears do they seek to understand the messages of the ages?

What do we do with seeds that do not grow?

and

How will you nourish them until their time has come?
