The Call Of Dreams

Have you ever had a Dream that everyone tells you is impossible? Something that you were born to do…something deep within you that breathes life through and throughout you so intensely that IT is what is waking up each day and seeing the world through your eyes? You see it reflected everywhere in the world around you…in the words that you see and hear, or the conversations that you have…or the situations you find yourself in again and again? Have you ever had something feel so right, that when you focus on it you feel like you have to sit down and catch your breath because it rearranges the very laws of the universe within which you’ve existed…when you turn to look at it, its brilliance is so incredibly and captivatingly dazzling that your eyes are no longer adequate enough to perceive its true beauty? Those of you who understand such things will also understand what I mean when I say that these Dreams are no simple dreams, and their sacred Calls hold within them the power of Life itself. Yet, for many of us, the societies we exist among do not understand such notions…and therein lies the great dilemma.

This is something my next story explores…though perhaps in simpler terms. I team up with artist Tim Lockett, to invite you on a journey that honours the Call of one’s Dreams. We follow a boy trying his best to answer the call he knows exists within him, and which demands his attention. Against the backdrop of a community that doesn’t understand him, to whom should he look for inspiration? Among those who would seek to discourage and belittle him, upon what should he build the foundation of what he knows should be his destiny? And how exactly is it that he is to go about navigating the wide waters of the world in the midst of all the tumultuous tempests of the naysayers? And what of us? Upon what do we build the foundation of our lives? To which role models do we look for inspiration?  And how is it that we should go about navigating the wide waters of the world in the midst of all the tumultuous tempests of the naysayers? Each has their own path…and rather than attempting to help you answer those questions for yourself, I’d encourage you to follow that inner wisdom. For surely, once you do, you’ll find your answer and much, much more!
